All teams are tasked with completing the laser challenge in the 1st round, and if they succeed, a new challenge is presented in round 2 that must be completed to make it to round 3. If your team does not complete the laser challenge in the 1st round, you are given another chance in the 2nd round.

Completing the original laser challenge in the 2nd round does not guarantee access to the 3rd round, as another team needed to complete the 2nd challenge.
